Raul Gonzo

Gonzo has worked closely with bands such as Versa (formally Versa Emerge) and Pvris creating all of their music videos. His usual type of work is very dark and cryptic. He doesn’t give lot away or focus on narrative closely it’s mostly a visual performance in his music videos. I feel there is a huge level of experimentation in his work, and this speaks volumes for the level of trust these musical artist have in his ability to create the amazing work he is known for. This experimentation is always with experiments in lighting everything he does is intensional and with purpose.

Strangely in his new body of work moved on to colour and it’s just crazy different his music videos usually have no colour at the most red but almost always black and white. so this new departure from his usual motif was extreme for him. It feels like a completely different artist yet for some reason it still feels like him this level of mystery and strangeness is still there in bright light bright colour he has found a way to take his usual darkness and charm into a almost fashion photography atmosphere.
